May & June are block party months; therefore, we do not gather, rather encourage us all to take advantage the spring weather as we ramp up for another beautiful summer of connecting with our neighbourhood.

NEIGHBOURHOOD LIFE

Goals:  1) To search out where God is already at work in your neighbourhood and join Him.

2) To focus and implement these three elements: Posture, Placement and Practice.

3) To move from stranger to acquaintance to relationship with our neighbours.

4) To compile a ‘book’ of stories from our neighbourhood experiences (coming this fall!)

One of the tools in the Neighbourhood Life tool kit is the travelling BBQ which holds the perfect amount for a Neighbourhood block parties. Many homes have a natural gas hookup these days, and this may just take a load of your mind, and put your mind back on being hospitable in your neighbourhood. So, if you have four or more neighbours gathering, and could use this grill, let us know. We can deliver, clean it when your done, and even supply the propane – pending availability. Neighbourhood Life wants to make Central Alberta neighbourhoods come to life!

Another tool we offer is freshly roasted coffee that you can buy for yourself and as a gift for your neighbours.  The packaging hosts true stories of what has taken place in Central Alberta neighbourhoods.  Did you hear why twenty neighbours rallied around a neighbour and fixed his house?  Perhaps you may have heard about the house fire that pulled a neighbourhood together.  There is also the story of how one man simply made the effort to visit the grumpy old man next door (because no one else would) and that saved the old man from death exactly one week later.  These stories and more found on the packages of, “Good Neighbour Coffee” available in The Culinary and Gift Shoppe and Sobeys (Lacombe), and the Cross Eyed Giraffe (Bentley), or contact us and we’ll roast a fresh batch especially for you and your neighbours.
